The WHO’s Immunization Agenda 2030 would help to accelerate progress over the coming decade and vaccination must form part of a broader commitment to universal healthcare. Addressing myths and misinformation will also remain a priority: ‘Earlier this year the WHO recognised vaccine hesitancy as a global health threat. Governments and social media companies have heeded this call. We must counter those who wilfully spread misinformation, and work with patients to provide reliable information that can be easily understood.’
